Archer Quill’s Journal – Hostile Flora

I am a wandering ranger and gatherer roaming the various lands inside of the Great Seal. Since the cataclysm has struck, there have been many changes here, some are beneficial, but the majority of them I have encountered of late can be dangerous to the unwary traveler. This series of journal entries that I am sharing with the readers of The Leaf, is in an effort to share information and warn those that may not have seen what I have in the wild.

My first entry deals with an outcropping in various and scattered areas of a variety of mushroom, that grows both enormous in size, and seems to be mobile. In addition, these new fungal discoveries seem to be able to work in clusters and have a range of different offensive abilities that they are able to unleash on intruders or even prey in a few instances that I have seen. These “Doomshrooms”, as a Warden contact of mine has said this is their accepted name as reports of them are increasing, are becoming more and more commonplace and have been seen in areas that are not normally visited by these fungi.

The common advice that should be given to anyone that may witness these seemingly spontaneous outcroppings of Doomshrooms would be best cautioned to head in the opposite direction, unless you are actively prepared to engage in a fight with however many number of these new fungal antagonists appear in that particular patch.

Further research and information on the Doomshrooms will be published as I hear of it.

Until my next entry, may your path traveled be safe and if needed, may your arrows always strike true.
