This area is largely controlled by Dragonlords with an affinity for Purple Dragons.  The lands are mostly ancient forest, ringed by high mountainous peaks at the coast.

Purple dragons are called Rayin.  If an animal could have a king, for the dragons, that would be one of the Rayin.  These are the largest and most powerful of the dragons in Karn.  When dragons are attacked, a Rayin would be found at the front of the battle.  In the time before the dragons learned to live in cooperation with humans, they would also be the ones leading raids and attacks on human settlements.

Dragonlords with purple scales make up the Tachi clan, which is comprised of the various branches of the Koma family.  The Koma people value Honor as the highest of the Seven Tenants.
